Joon Choi, MD

My name is Joon Choi (he/him/his) and I am a physician who specializes in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the U.S when I was young. I grew up in a small town called Chappaqua in New York and moved to Michigan for college and eventually medical school at Wayne State School of Medicine.

I then moved to LA to complete a residency in Internal Medicine as well as fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care at USC. I have since joined MLKCH to carry out my mission of serving the underserved as well as advance medical education. 

Outside of work, I put the utmost importance in spending time with loved ones and staying physically fit through sports (such as tennis and pickleball) as well as weight training.
